St Michael’s Presentation Primary school was instituted by the Presentation Sisters whose Congregation originates from Cork, Ireland, and was established in 1775. Their founder, Nano Nagle, was a woman of great courage. In setting up schools in defiance of the established colonial order, she sided with those who were poor and challenged the institutional injustice that perpetuated marginalisation and poverty.
